Yikufang carries children toys and all sorts of puppets, Chinese opera-style masks and related accessories. Puppet shows are part of Chinese traditional folk culture. Over the time, some of the popular characters from these shows have been so well received that the puppets themselves have become collectors' items. All the products at this store, including puppet heads and costumes, are handmade by experienced puppet artists. Prices range from NT$200 to NT$5,000. It has been increasingly difficult to find shops like Yikufang with complete collections, as traditional skills continue to die out. Currently, Yikufang has opened branches in northern, central and southern Taiwan for those who love puppet shows, in order to share in this traditional heritage and help aficionados build up their collections.
