Mrs.
Pan's Store is like a treasure trove, filled with goods from around
the world that were picked up from the various trips abroad. Inside
the large, floor-length window is a display of English-made animal-print
objects, such as the six-piece puppies or leopards (NT$790) and
textiles from various countries: scarves (NT$80), shawls (NT$3,000),
Indian cotton wall hangings with gold embroidery of camels and horses
(NT$4,500), cashmere wool twin sheets (NT$2,900), queen sheets (NT$5,000)
and a sturdy hand-made plain cashmere rug for only NT$2,900.
Left of the entrance is a man-sized
Indian brass pot with an intricate design and a slick outline for
only NT$38,000. To the right are African wood sculptures and masks
and animal-shaped color candles (NT$490-1,000). In the middle are
bracelets, rings and earrings with prices starting at NT$10, and
natural stone necklaces from NT$100 to $18,500. There are also cloth
items such as hats (NT$150-600), purses (NT$50-3,000) and a rich
assortment of items from countries like Egypt, Pakistan, Nepal and
Sri Lanka.
