It was
originated as a bookstall at the NCHU and Tung-Hai night market
mainly targeted for the university students. And now, using the
idea of "low benefit against high sales", the boss is
moving his "booth" to the side of the Green Garden Road
(in front of the National Museum of Natural Science), with a Chinese
signboard meaning "After having nice bite and fun, the best
thing to do is reading a good book" in English. All books ordered
by customer are sold at the wholesale price. You can find special
price books costing from NT$10 to 30 inside the tiny store/site.
There are about 10 different styles of books near the entrance,
like "Kafka near the beach" by the famous modern Japanese
novelist, Murakami Haruki (who was famous for his work, Norwegian
Woods) which costs NT$300 with a 30% discount; Juang Chi's Talk
(Juang Chi ¡V a famous ancient Chinese thinker) by Tsai, Chi-Chung
¡V a book, DVD and interactive CD-Rom costs NT$280 in total but selling
at NT$198 as the special price; Wang, Lee-Hom's "Sheer Accident"
(2 books + 1 VCD) costs NT$380 and NT$266 after discount. All types
of new magazines are sold with a 20% discount even if bought solely;
25% off for adult magazines (about 6 publishers), and 30% off for
magazines published by Chinatimes, CW books and Sitak-Global. For
children books, about 3 to 4 publishers' are sold at 30% off, and
you can buy over 10 publishers' books with a 40% discount! Package-books
are also sold at wholesale prices. Based on the type(s) of books,
books will be received from 2 days to a month upon order. There
isn't any membership system whatsoever in the store and all books
are sold at wholesale prices. It's worth to have a look if you are
a reading fans.
