For quite some time the fine jewelry of French craftsman Didier Audry has had a loyal word-of-mouth following. With the public launch of their new store by him and his wife Annie, this remarkable team has created an environment for viewing the jewelry that is elegant yet still highlights their personal enthusiasm and attention to detail. But it is the jewelry that makes the visit exciting; cold, hard metals transformed into abstract, flowing curves and lines that evoke the natural symmetry and balance of living things. Many of the pieces are beautiful, but subtly challenging and strikingly original; unusual corkscrew fastenings, rings that wrap over multiple fingers and many pieces that can be worn forwards or backwards - each with a different effect. Unfortunately, this store is difficult to find; hidden in a small lane just to the south of People's Park and Ala Music Pub between Chungshing St. and Gongyi Rd. Lane 155.
