This bistro's special features include nine draft-beer varieties and DIY beer-brewing, as indicated by a wall display of various hops and yeasts used to make various beers. The American classic Pale Ale offers caramel and citrus aromas; Makao (NT$180) is infused with indigenous spices, lemon grass and pepper for a unique flavor; Xiao-ching-hsin (NT$200) has the fresh, cool taste of sweet and sour cactus fruit; and Plum Beer (NT$200) has a rich, tart berry-like flavor. The restaurant is also cooperating with Taichung's Centennial Event by selling over 300 worldwide bottled craft beers, plus a special Wufeng Taro Rice Beer. Free DIY beer-brewing lessons are provided every Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Food options include french fries, salami, Sausage Plates (NT$190), Smoked Salmon Pizza (NT$230, 8-inch), and Sausage Pizza (NT$190). --By Uvia Chang, translated by Anna Yang
