After Five offers good food and great craft beers, together with a friendly staff, clean-looking decor, comfortable ambiance and good music. In addition to a full menu of satisfying main entrees, there are also good snacks and lighter fare, like the Belgian Fries (NT$108), crispy and thick-cut with onion rings and cheese sticks. The Beef with Peeled Peppers (NT$188) is well seasoned and features a great cut of tender steak with sweet bell peppers. There are a dozen beers on tap, all NT$230 per glass, and indecisive customers can try a sampler with three smaller glasses for NT$500. The pale ales tend to be well balanced with hints of raw hops and fruit, while the wheat beers aren't too sweet, with refreshing citrus undertones.
