Opening in early October, Kudos is already making a splash in Taichung's LGBTQ community. Owner Marco Wu was inspired by the time he spent experiencing the vibrant gay scene in London, which explains the pink Union Jack flying outside. He hopes that this can be the start of a more open and visible scene in Taichung, perhaps something to rival Taipei. Despite being very proudly LGBTQ-friendly, Kudos welcomes everyone to come and sample its food, extensive drinks selection and weekend special events. Food is served until midnight every day and the small, but interesting, variety of dishes on offer includes Kudos Brighton Spicy Beef Noodles (NT$220) and Kudos Bond Seafoods Congee (NT$220).
