This retro American-style pub is not overly-decorated but, rather, aims to give customers a place to relax with drinks at the end of the day while listening to some good music. Friendly service is another important element here, fostering easy friendships and good conversations between staff and patrons. There are five live musical performances each day, including classical, baroque, world music, Latin love songs, guitar, male and female singers, jazz piano music and much more. The choice of alcoholic beverages is pretty extensive, too, with a great variety of appetizers and dishes to enjoy with your drink, all priced between NT$150 and NT$250. JDS' Stir Fried Thousand-Year-Old Eggs (NT$200) is the most popular dish. There are monthly drink specials and those who arrive before 9 p.m. will enjoy a buy-one-get-one-free deal for various beers. Every Monday is also Taiwan Beer Night, with buy-two-get-one-free offer. --By Tammy Huang, translated by Cara Steenstra
