Taichung's ZhongXing Street has always been a popular district for pubs and bars, but not many new ones have appeared recently. So it was cause for celebration when a new sports bar celebrated their opening there recently. Sports channels are played on the TV and there is a foosball table inside. Foosball competions are held every so often and winners get free beer! For those who have to buy their own beers, these are all reasonably priced for around NT$130. Other drinks are available, too, but the main drink here is beer. If you can hold your liquor, you can drink all the beer you want for NT$300 before the end of April. Whether you are a competitor or a spectator at the foosball or the beer drinking competitions, you can drink to your heart's content! You will find Freedom Pub on the right hand side of the lane opposite Ala Bar on ZhongXing Street.
