As you walk into Trendy, the first thing you will notice is a lot of things glowing in the dark. Small glasses, ashtrays, lighting ornaments hanging from the ceiling, the stage and its background are all fluorescent. No wonder the owners have claimed theirs to be the world's first fluorescent-themed bar. The premise has been divided into two areas: the house music area with a dance floor, and the lounge area with a smaller dance floor. There are a total of 20 42-inch screens on the premises, providing video images and audio stimulation simultaneously. The owners have also exclusively imported some real Sangria, a fruity Spanish red wine. Ever since the main characters of the popular American TV series. "Sex & The City" started drinking Sangria in New York hotspots, it has become one of the most popular party drinks amongst ladies and the gay population. If you would like to experience a New York-style party atmosphere, come to Trendy. It will surely be a "glowing" experience! --By Catherine Liu, translated by Cara Steenstra
