Located in what used to be the popular Shark Den pub, along the Canal District, Emotion Power Bar has a more open, lounge-like feel to it, thanks to the removal of the glass facade at the entrance. Owner Shao Ju says he is aiming for a relaxing, laid-back atmosphere and has added comfortable, upholstered sofas inside, together with lounge and chill-out music, to create the feeling. There are a total of 10 tables inside, where the mini-bar is, and outside, where customers can relax in the open air. A 20-person VIP room is also opening upstairs. The menu is fairly simple, with beers ranging from NT$100 Corona to NT$150 for other bottled beers like Tiger and Heineken. There are also cocktails in the same price range, bottles of XO and Scotch going up to NT$5,000, and NT$100 soft drinks. Snacks like "jaotze" dumplings are available on the menu and often complimentary for drinking customers. On Fridays and Saturdays, Emotion also has simple barbecues for its patrons to enjoy.
