Located on a quiet residential street between Minchuan and Yingtsai roads, On Tap is a very chic-looking, upscale lounge bar that has already gained a significant white-collar following. The dark interior is accented by indirect lighting and neon, as a good selection of lounge and chill-out music plays in the background. According to bartender Hugo Wu (former manager of The Blu), the bar specializes in single malt Scotch, champagne and fine wines. Patrons can choose from Glenfiddich 12, 15 or 18 year old--and Macallan 12 and 25 year old--single malts, for example. Champagne include well-known names like Larent Perrier, Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin, Louis Roederer, Moet Chandon, and Dom Perignon, and are available by the glass or bottle. There are also plenty of champagne-based and other cocktails, from the Peach Royal to the B-52. Beers are available, too, for NT$160. To go with drinks, there is a selection of fine cigars, plus some snacks. There is a minimum charge of NT$200 per person. Two private rooms, holding about eight people each, are available for minimum NT$3,000 per group. Heading south on Minchuan Road from Taichung Kang Road, Lane 225 is the third right turn.
