Dimple Cafe is certainly easy to spot, at its location near the Taichung Kang/MinChuang intersection. Its all-wood building, looking like a cross between a European chalet and log cabin, once housed The Ploughman's Cottage Coffee. Inside, it has a cottage-like feel, with a high ceiling and an upstairs seating area. Up until about 8:30 p.m.,Dimple operates as a coffee shop, with various Chinese set meals from NT$150-180, plus set-meal deals for groups of three to five people. There are also various snacks, coffees (NT$140-180), teas, frappes and other drinks. From about 9 p.m. to 3 a.m., Dimple becomes a piano pub, where guests can jump up and sing in non-KTV performances. Minimum charge is NT$450/person.--By Douglas Habecker
