Open from September 1, the Grand Formosa Taichung Hotel's swanky new night club includes the 12th-floor lobby area around Asian Court restaurant and what was previously the lobby bar.  The idea is to provide diners and other guests somewhere to hang out after the adjacent La Romana and other restaurants close at 9 p.m.  The remodeling includes a bar, plenty of seating, stage, DJ booth and a small dance floor.  Through September, Catwalk will feature nightly live Latin music by visiting Colombian band, Bai La Condombe, plus tunes from a regular DJ.  Cover charge is NT$700 Sunday and Tuesday through Thursday, and NT$1,000 on Friday and Saturday.  This price includes a free drink and snack buffet.
