Perhaps the closest thing that Taichung has to an American-style diner, the brand-new Cola Star features an appropriately-relaxing atmosphere liberally decorated with Coca Cola signs and advertisements. The menu (soon to be finalized and translated into English) features items like sandwiches (club, subs, bacon cheese), hotdogs, French fries, soups, salads, appetizers and some pretty good pasta. There are also rice-based pork, beef and chicken NT$120 business lunches. A favorite are the very good milk shakes and flavored colas (cherry, vanilla, chocolate).
