Chillies Indian Restaurant's second Taichung branch, located along rapidly-developing ChaoFu Road, offers an attractive three-floor setting that includes striking paintings, walls painted with Indian motifs, and Indian colored-glass lamps. The menu here differs a bit from Chiillies' CunZhong Street branch and includes 13 reasonably-priced curry plate set meals (NT$250-280) with vegetarian, lamb, chicken and seafood options served with a small salad and rice. Ten types of Naan bread (NT$55-115) can be ordered separately, and the a la carte selection includes more barbecued Tikka and Tandoori entrees (NT$320-450) as well as Biryani dishes. The drink selection here has also grown to feature more wines (by bottle or glass) and coffees, in addition to Indian teas, Lassi yogurt drinks, and Kingfisher Beer (NT$110, buy-4-get-1-free anytime). In the next month or two, both menu options and business hours will be expanded.
