Fatty's has expanded far beyond Italian cuisine with this attractive, spacious five-floor complex enclosing three different dining experiences. The first-floor bakery cafe is an all-day hang-out with comfy sofas and other seating, glass walls, a coffee bar and lots of wooden highlights. It serves various brunch sets (NT$210-250) to 11:30 a.m., salads, 10-inch pizzas (NT$230-260), desserts, breads, gelato, coffees, teas, and a 2-5 p.m. NT$320 afternoon tea special. On the second and third floors, diners sit on tatami in Japanese-style cubicles (4-20 people each) to enjoy five two-person hot pot sets (NT$1380-2880) made with either Cordyceps sinensis herb or ginseng infused broths, plus a wide variety of Japanese set meals (NT$320-880) and a la carte sushi and yakiniku items. The top two floors feature teppanyaki stations and a range of 1-2 person sets (from NT$1080/person) offering live-fresh seafood like Hokkaido king crab and lobster, steak and other items. There are also NT$1500-3000 customized "menu-less" sets and NT$520-580 weekday lunch sets. --By Douglas Habecker, translated by Anna Yang
