American-born Chinese Eddie Lem and his Taiwanese-American wife Sintty moved here from NYC and run this roadside stand, situated in front of Shi Niu Beef Shabu Shabu Restaurant (also offering beef noodles), where non-take-out customers are welcome to sit and eat. The main focus is top-quality pizzas (NT$220-440) and burgers (NT$130-150; add NT$40 for set with fries/soda). Uniquely, Eddie's burger patties are 60% steak trimmings and 40% American hamburger, providing rich beef flavors, topped with a New York-style, slightly-sweet bacon marmalade. Seven 12-inch New York-style pizzas feature crispy, chewy dough and range from familiar Cheese and Hawaiian varieties to the special Breakfast Pizza, topped with slightly-runny eggs, sausage (or bacon) and truffle oil, and Eggplant Pizza, topped with deep-fried eggplant slices breaded in panko and Italian seasoning, then slathered in tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. There are also hot dogs and chili dogs (NT$60-80), Beef Chili Beans (NT$50), and Eggplant (NT$120) and Beef Short Rib and Broccoli (NT$150) sandwiches. --By Douglas Habecker, translated by Anna Yang
