For many years now, Syue Li (Sherry) French restaurant has stuck with a professional insistence on offering classic dishes, consistent flavors, an environment that is small, low-key and upscale, but not expensive, and friendly service to anyone wanting to savor a French meal.

Left: A meeting of East and West, braised for a long time and then baked,
Roasted Pork Knuckle (NT$680) is crispy and juicy, with the Chinese
characters "Zhu Shi Ji Xiang" (good luck for everything) written in
mustard on the side.
Medium: The small, affordable salad bar features simple,
fresh and delicious items that are unforgettably
good.
Right:
One of its best aspects is an exquisite salad bar that features items like cheese eggplant, plum beans, taro milk, Caesar salad, Caesar egg slices and cheese sprinkles, each item flavor-filled and carefully made, and introduced the by deputy chief Huang while we were eating and chatting, enjoying the romantic, casual French ambiance and friendly, family-like relaxed atmosphere. The NT$390 salad bar also includes appetizers, bread, soup, desserts and drink, and is included with any main course (NT$490-1,080) you order.
Left: Sherry serves each diner a
glass of homemade, sweet
and slightly-sour melon
vinegar, plus some savory
bread that is crispy outside,
soft inside, and comes with a
basil-based topping.
Right:
Seemingly ordinary corn soup
becomes extra tasty and
special with the addition of fried,
lightly-roasted mushroom that
add and enhance flavors.
For a long time, now, Syue Li has also made it a policy to send a birthday card to diners who leave their information. This also entitles them to enjoy a free secret set meal during their birthday month, making this restaurant a great place to celebrate your special day. |
