Since 2003, Salut has built a reputation for great pizza as well as being a popular hangout spot on the pedestrian Soho Street. For a fresh start, the restaurant has moved two doors down. The new decor is done in attractive reds, browns and white, a significant style upgrade. Along with their traditional pizzas, Salut is expanding into tapas and wine. Salut sometimes hosts events, often featuring live music. Check for daily food and/or wine specials. Wednesday features free tapas pairings with wine orders. --By Courtney Donovan Smith, translated by Angela Cheng

A. Salut excels at pizza, including the Mushroom Special (NT$275 for 9-inch, NT$360 for 12-inch).

B. These three tasty and inexpensive tapas treats are healthy, fun to share and wine-friendly. Baked Pesto-Stuffed Mushrooms (NT$50, on left), Black & Green Olives with Feta (NT$60, in back). Handmade Beer Bread with Salsa (NT$50, on right).

C. Salut's new location features comfortable outdoor and indoor seating.
