Hendrik Frijling has built on the long-term popularity of his Fatty's restaurant by opening this even-larger, 120-seat branch, offering a similar menu significantly expanded with new main courses, appetizers and desserts in a comfortable but very upscale-feeling environment. There are 19 pasta-topping choices (NT$320-420) paired with eight pasta-noodle options with new items like Marinara Seafood in Ink Pesto Sauce. Besides 16 12-inch pizzas (NT$330-490) on the regular menu, a weekday NT$240-270 lunch menu has eight-inch pizzas and pasta dishes.--By Douglas Habecker, translated by Angel Pu
A. Ideally situated on the corner of GongYi and HuiWen roads, Fatty's 2 is housed in a chic-looking building with big glass walls.
B. One of several new main courses, the savory Brochette BBQ'ed Tenderloin Cubes, Vegetables and Mushrooms with Black Pepper Sauce (NT$790) is served on a big metal skewer together with a tasty baked potato topped with sour cream.
 C. The large second floor area offers great views and includes a semi-private room for special gatherings.
