Owner A-jie has opened this American-style bar and grill (opposite Uzo) and provides a relaxing dining space with high ceilings and rustic-looking wooden furniture, ideal for gatherings over some beers, stir-fried dishes, darts and live sports on the big-screen TV. Grilled delicacies include chicken strips, Grilled Bacon and Spring Beans, dried tofu and corn, while non-grilled choices include crispy fries with tartar sauce, a flavorful Matsusaka pork, buffalo wings, shrimp, vegetables, fish fingers and fried chicken. All kinds of beers, whiskey and soft drinks are available. --By Ann Li & Lin Fu-shan, translated by Angel Pu
A. A-jie holds a gigantic, three-liter Taiwan Beer (NT$450), a great option for steamy summer nights.
B. Unlike basic BBQ sauces, Cook's Pork Ribs (NT$350) sauce uses various kinds of herbs and has a refreshing spiciness.
C. The Assorted Platter (NT$250) includes fried chicken, popcorn chicken, onion rings and fried fish fingers, which all go well with homemade mayonnaise. Roasted Beef (NT$200) is another tasty choice.
