Following its popular first branch on JingCheng Road, Pizza Rock has expanded into north Taichung with this larger branch, directly opposite Carrefour. The menu has also continued to expand, now including 21 stone-baked, thin-crust, 12-inch pizza varieties (NT$240-480), plus panini sandwiches, more appetizers (from Bread Sticks to Greek Bruschetta), 3 Belgian bottled beers, and various coffees. The savory Lemon Dijon Chicken Pizza (NT$320) is a brand-new topping, made with chicken breast that owner Ugo Ortolano and his wife Ruby bake themselves.

The owners make their own bread for the eight panini sandwiches (NT$79-150), such as this Ham and Harvati, cool on the inside and warm on the outside.

This branch seats about 45 at counters and inside/outside dark-wood tables. Living up to its name, Pizza Rock is decorated with pictures of legendary rock musicians.
