In the fast-paced times we live in, it is difficult for people to find quick restaurants or stands which don't serve food that's drowning in grease and fat. Fortunately, busy people in Taichung have another dining option—Stair Fresh Subcar. All of the meat at this new sandwich shop is either smoked or grilled, making it oil-free. The bread selection, put together by a very experienced chef, includes Italian white, Italian country-style, wheat, and multi-grain. These tasty subs, which range in price from NT$45 to NT$95, are layered with fresh vegetables and sauces—each sandwich is custom made to the customer's preferences. One popular choice is the Black Pepper Roast Beef—after being marinated in a special sauce, the beef is wrapped with black pepper. Another favorite, especially with foreigners, is the Smoked Turkey Sub.
