Every adult should spend 15 minutes per day
being a child. This is the dream that K2 Italian Ice Cream
allows you to indulge in with its products. Pure handmade
ice cream is prepared with fresh fruit and milk, with no additives
or stabilizers, so that there is a seven-day expiration date.
Everything you taste at K2 is ice cream at its freshest and
most flavorsome. There are over 40 different flavors produced
and you can choose from at least 20 different flavors at the
store daily. The ice creams here are mainly separated into
two categories--the creamier, milk-based gelato and the fruit-based
(with over 85% fruit) sorbetto. Most of the ice cream here
is low in fat and calories, so you can eat to your heart's
delight without worrying too much about gaining extra pounds.
A single scoop is NT$60 and doubles are NT$80. Ice creams
marked with an Italian flag have higher ingredient costs and
are therefore NT$20 more expensive. The Casata (Sicilian-style
ice cream cake) contains almonds, pistachios and candied orange
peels to give it its multi-layered texture, nutty flavor and
fruity tang. You can also try a different way of eating ice
cream here--homemade brioche with three scoops of ice cream
in between (NT$90). The soft, warm bread combined with cold
ice cream makes for a curious and fun combination. Affogato
(NT$100) is ice cream drowned in espresso, an authentically
Italian way of eating gelato. Delivery service is also available
at NT$350 per container (750 grams).
