Daido Shabu Lounge is a Japanese-style shabu shabu place with plenty of fresh ingredients and orginal flavors. There are over a hundred different kinds of ingredients to choose from. Apart from the usual fare, there are fresh oysters, fatty pork, monkfish and much more to pick from. The clean, elegant restaurant entrance leads into the foyer where there is a chaise lounge for customers to relax in while waiting for their seats. Romantic lighting and soft curtains separate different dining areas. Upstairs on the second floor are long Western-style tables, along the floor-to-ceiling windows, giving the place a cozy, warm, English family dinner atmosphere. While you are seated and making your order, healthy drinks (rose fruit or camomile) are served. The main fare here is the Japanese-style soup-based hot pot. Dinner is NT$630, but you can dine before 5 p.m. between Mondays and Fridays for only NT$438. Children (110-130 cm) can dine at half price. You can also try different soup bases, such as the Healthy Spicy Pot and the Thai-Style Tom Yum Gong Pot, each with its own unique characteristics. Also available is the VIP Set Menu for NT$880, which allows you to enjoy Japanese King Crab, Australian top-grade beef, King Grass Prawns, fresh oysters and red wine for a delicious dining experience.
