The warm, welcoming shopfront and the white-and-blue
interior decor here makes you feel as if you have stepped
right into a Mediterranean setting. Shop manager Alex is friendly
and chatty. He points to a map of Mediterranean countries
and notes that cuisine from that region specializes in using
healthy olive oil and low-temperature baking methods which
help foods retain their nutritional value. Dishes are also
prepared with generous quantities of herbs, vegetables, fruit,
cheese, yogurt and other dairy products to bring out flavors.
The head chef recommends the Roasted Lamb with Mint (NT$360),
a delicious roasted dish of lamb with fresh mint and herbs.
The Chicken with Herbs & Garlic (NT$360) uses Taiwan golden
chicken. Extra fat is removed during roasting to make it extra
crispy. The Italian-Style Salad (NT$50), Beef with Tomato
Soup (NT$60) and various herbal teas (NT$60) are all prepared
with authentic Mediterranean methods. Select a main course
and, for an additional NT$80, you can enjoy a set menu with
soup, salad and a drink. |
