You no longer need to travel abroad to experience
authentic Hong Kong-style dining culture. Hong Kong Story
uses Hong Kong's local cafes as its inspiration, bringing
a piece of the SAR to homesick Hong Kong-ers, as well as Taichung
residents who can't afford to fly to the territory. Experienced
chefs from Hong Kong use authentic ingredients and traditional
cooking styles to prepare all the dishes here. The Rich Boy's
Fried Rice (NT$120) has a delicious helping of squid, shrimp
and seasonal vegetables in a stew, which covers a fragrant
combination of Thai and Taiwanese rice. This multi-layered
taste sensation will have you coming back for more. The Curry
Chicken (NT$100) is typical Hong Kong-style curry, spicy yet
smooth with very tender chicken pieces. Typical Hong Kong
beverages, such as Yuan Yang (a combination of tea and coffee)
and Iced Lemon Tea (around NT$60), are not to be missed, either.
