--By James Su, translated by Cara Steenstra
This place offers an all-new Japanese dining
experience, as new elements are injected into simple, traditional
culinary styles. Manager Zhuang traveled to Japan to study
the culinary art of Japanese cuisine. Since returning, he
has combined the freshest, most delicious local ingredients,
authentic Japanese cooking methods and his own unique ideas
to create cheap, delicious cuisine. If you come to Wa Tei,
you must try the Iceberg Sashimi--fresh cuts of sashimi placed
on a bowl made from shaved ice in order to retain the freshness
of the sashimi. A seven-course meal with salad, appetizer,
soup, rice, main course and dessert will only set you back
NT$480. Meat used in the cuisine here comes from New Zealand.
This attention to details is all part of an effort to provide
diners with fresh, delicious and healthy cuisine that can
be enjoyed for reasonable prices. |
