A continuance of the first Bakku's nostalgic
vintage style, the second Bakku branch, situated down a little
lane, has an added mystery to it with a bit of a lounge bar
feeling. The owner is involved in the art field and enjoys
collecting furniture from all over the world for refurbishing,
adding his own touches to the pieces. Consulting vintage interior
decoration magazines, he has managed to entirely recreate
a '70s feel for the restaurant. There are many individual
VIP areas on the first floor for privacy. The second floor
has a great mix of space-age chairs, antique TV sets, decadent
beaded curtains and much more. Menu wise, there is a great
choice of salads, main courses, snacks, pizzas, sandwiches
and much more. The set meal comes with salad, coffee, iced
tea or fruit juice; for an extra NT$80 you can upgrade to
a full menu with a choice of drinks and a dessert. The Italian
Style Roast Chicken Half (NT$280) is steamed, then roasted
and comes with a sauce made from maple syrup and Italian spices.
The German Sausage Pizza (NT$120) is made with a Mexican tortilla
base, covered with onions, German sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes
and shredded cheese for a tasty, economical treat loved by
many students. The Banana Roll (NT$90) is deep fried with
a soft center of sweet banana inside, sprinkled with cinnamon
powder for a creative dessert. |
