Taichung's original foreign restaurateur, Dereke Bruce, makes sure that his customers get a good start to their day with a variety of daily breakfast options. Among the most popular individual breakfast entrees are the NT$75 Cheese and Jalapeno Scrambled Egg on Toast, and the NT$190 Eggs Benedict (English muffin, poached eggs and Hollandaise sauce), which is actually available all day. Others include the Bacon Fried Tomatoes on Toast (NT$90), French Toast with Fruit (NT$120), Bagel Cream Cheese Smoked Salmon (NT$220), Baked Beans on Toast (NT$75), Waffles with Fruit, and Banana Pancakes (NT$130). Many diners select one of three breakfast sets: the NT$125 Menu "A" (bacon, fried eggs, toast, coffee or tea), the NT$180 Menu "B" (bacon, scrambled eggs, has brown, grilled tomato, toast, small juice, coffee or tea), and NT$275 Menu "C" (bacon, sausage, baked beans, ham and cheese omelette, hash brown, grilled tomato, toast, small juice, coffee or tea).
