--By Cai Pei-Rong, translated by Cara Steenstra
This new European eatery recently opened its
doors in the FengJia night market. In a place where cheap
and plentiful small snack stalls can be found, it is rather
unusual to find such a classy-looking restaurant. Most meals
here are offered as a set menu and include French bread, salad,
soup, main course, dessert and a drink. All items come with
a variety of choices. Set menu "A" is NT$298 and
set menu "B" is NT$398. Not only do you get a great
selection, but the prices are very reasonable as well. The
Grilled Spaghetti With Mushroom and Cream Sauce (NT$298) is
highly recommended; grilled spaghetti is used as a base to
give its special texture, whereas the broccoli and three-colored
peppers add to the flavor. The Risotto with Ham and Cream
Sauce (NT$298) is prepared with a special potato cream sauce.
This sauce is made from fresh mashed potatoes, cream and other
special sauces, with peas and ham added for extra flavor.
The Mediterranean-style interior decor is bright and inviting.
This is a restaurant where one can enjoy great food and excellent
atmosphere for an affordable price. |
