CRAB SHABU-SHABU
132, TaiZhongGang (Taichung Kang) Road, section 1
 |
Seafood lovers will embrace this new hotpot
restaurant which, in an unprecedented offer, provides diners
with a wide range of quality all-you-can-eat seafood items.
Incredibly, this includes prized king crabs from Hokkaido.
Diners can scoop up the thick, spiny king crab legs, dump
them into the broth and pop out the succulent fresh within
a few moments. Altogether, the buffet of hotpot ingredients
has about 12 to 15 types of seafood that includes various
types of crabs, shrimp, clams, mussels, and "tofu"
shark meat. Given the fact that this restaurant is part of
the same company as Serious David Shen's Steak & Seafood
House, it's no surprise that there is also sirloin beef and
pork. Of course, there are vegetables, tofu and other more
traditional hotpot ingredients, plus soft drinks, coffee and
an ice cream bar. Portions of tasty steamed salmon rice and/or
Japanese cold soba noodles are provided, too. The restaurant
is open all day, and the price for adults is NT$550/person
and NT$250 for kids (120-140 cm tall, under 120 are free).
A 10-percent service charge is added. The two-floor restaurant,
located next to the intersection of TaizhongGang, MinQuan
and GongYi roads, is a spacious place with a pay parking lot
nearby.--By Douglas Habecker, translated by Uvia
