Walk in here and you will find a small shrine on a small red checkered table on your right. A few simple chairs and tables under a Longan tree give this place a rustic feel that brings a smile to your face. Even though it is situated in a concrete jungle, you still get the feeling that you are enjoying a traditional wedding in the countryside when you dine here. The owners highly recommend the Spicy Chicken Wings (NT$200), carefully prepared with deep fried garlic, peanuts and dried chili peppers, and is a great dish to have with your drinks. The Dry Fried Sesame Oil Chicken (NT$380) is a rather rare dish; black boned chicken is dry fried with old ginger, sesame oil and rice wine, a culinary idea developed by the chef himself. The Salt and Pepper Pork Knuckle (NT$380) is a pork knuckle marinated whole in sauces, then slow cooked till the skin is crispy and golden. The Traditional Rice Mixed with Pork Fat (NT$20) uses specially prepared pork fat with authentic Taiwanese flavors. There are also other traditional Taiwanese dishes, such as Sesame Oil Fine Noodles, Eggs Fried with Chinese Basil and many others. You have come to the right place if you are looking for original Taiwanese cuisine.
