At Bu Lan Duo, you can enjoy afternoon tea
in a royal setting and try exotic French-style cuisine prepared
creatively by chefs from five-star hotels in Taipei. The Chef's
Special Classic Steak Set Menu, Creative Set Menus, coffee,
teas and other dishes are available here. All ingredients
are chosen for freshness. Sauces are also freshly prepared
to ensure flavors and healthiness. The Thai Style Spicy Chicken
Leg (NT$280) is made with a marinated chicken leg, deep fried,
then covered in sour and spicy sauce. Set meals come with
a salad (with a choice of thousand island dressing or lemon
and yogurt dressing), toasted bread (unlimited supply), soup
of the day, dessert and a fruit tea. The Chocolate Fondue
Afternoon Tea Set is very special, too. It consists of a chocolate
fondue, fruit platter, bread and handmade cookies for only
NT$150. The imported bitter chocolate is delicious when fruit
is dipped into it. This fondue originated in cold northern
Europe. No water is added in the mix, so it is essential to
stir it regularly as you eat to prevent the chocolate mix
from burning. The dining atmosphere is comfortable yet private,
with high-backed love seats, gold organza curtains, burgundy
draping and extravagant crystal chandeliers that lend an air
of aristocratic elegance. Outdoor seating is also available,
with a pleasant view of the gardens. Steenstra |
