NanTun Road Red Kidney Beans Ice has been in business on NanTun Road for over 30 years. There are always a lot of customers, especially during hot summer days, when there is nothing better than a cooling glass of Red Kidney Beans with Ice. This shop is neat and clean and the bright yellow sign outside is very eye-catching, especially at night. According to the owner, the most popular dish here is the Black Tea-Green Tea Red Kidney Bean Ice (small NT$20, large NT$25). A layer of sweet red kidney beans and yummy ice cream is placed on top of tasty black-tea shaved ice in a combination which will cool you down for sure. There are also a variety of flavored shaved ices (NT$10), ice creams (NT$20-NT$40), "Dou Hua" tofu pudding (NT$25-NT$30) and other items. Pearl Milk Tea, black tea, green tea, organic drinks and other tea drinks (NT$20-NT$40) are also available. Apart from iced summer drinks, hot items such as Tang Yuan (glutinous rice balls), Hot Dou Hua and Hot Taro Balls are also available in the winter. The shop is open daily all year round, apart from a break during Chinese New Year. Delivery service is also available.
