Large vertical banners with the couplets, "Eat a big mouthful of meat" and "Drink a big gulp of beer", adorn the sides of this restaurant, while a horizontal banner announces the name "Chuan Men Zi" (which means "visiting the homes of good friends to chat and have a good time"). The simple Chinese banners remind customers to simply enjoy mouthfuls of barbequed meat and big gulps of beer, just as they would when visiting an old friend's house. Situated at the end of ZiYou Road, this low-priced barbeque restaurant has enjoyed a good reputation up north for quite some time. Owned by celebrity Tang Lin, it has been highly recommended by many famous actors and celebrities. The interior decor style is retro but elegant. Friendly service is an important feature, and all the ingredients are fresh, not marinated and never left overnight, to ensure they win diners over with great flavors. The owner especially recommends the Lamb Kebab (NT$35) and Sirloin Beef Kebab (NT$45), which are the main specialties here. The Salt and Peppered Fatty Pork Kebab (NT$65), Chicken Kebab (NT$35) and Fish Chin Kebab (NT$55) are also among the most popular orders. In addition, seven to eight kinds of beer and alcohol help ensure that everyone enjoys themselves drinking, too.
