YAKINIKU
181, ShiZheng North Road
 |
As you walk through the front door here, the
delicious aroma of barbequed meat comes wafting by. Once seated,
you are presented with a menu that contains a great variety
of meat and seafood. Highly recommended are the boneless beef,
marinated sausages, shrimp, fish and springtime meatballs. There
are over 60 items to choose from including Japanese-style
iced desserts. They also provide unlimited iced tea. The barbeque
plus a Seafood and Crabmeat Hot Pot is NT$399 per person.
Children can eat all they want for NT$299. When you are about
70 percent full, you may want to try their "mochi"
glutinous rice cakes on the barbeque at low heat; the taste
is really something. Yakiniku now has over 10 branches around
the country. The first floor of the Taichung branch seats
50 guests; the second floor can accommodate 150. Even though
they just opened recently, their business has been pretty
good, due to the variety and freshness of their ingredients.
The owner insists that all guests should eat till they are
satisfied, which is why the place is always packed. It is
situated on the corner of ShiZheng 7th and HeNan roads, opposite
the Enjoy Motel and Aoyama Suits Store.
