This 120-seat restaurant--located in the Londoner/ex-Top Mall building opposite Peoples' Square--is one floor above its sister Gourmet World Cantonese Dim Sum Restaurant. The restaurant's slogan stresses "health, nutrition, art and food" and lives up to this with healthy ingredients, a veteran chef, and decor that includes modern oil paintings by acclaimed local artist Hung Yi-fan. The cuisine is mostly a mix of Western and Japanese, to give diners a broad selection. Ordering here is easy. The NT$380 (plus 10% service charge) lunch/dinner set menu allows diners to pick from multiple selections in each of seven categories, ranging from soup and baked appetizer to main course and beverage. The selection reflects the East/West mix: there is French Onion Soup, Clam Chowder or Chinese-style Burdock Chicken Soup; and one chooses garlic bread or sushi. Five main courses include the trademark dish Tenderloin with Goose Liver Terrine. Another specialty is the Bio-organic Coffee with Okinawa Brown Sugar. Various Japanese appetizers like sashimi (NT$99) are also available, as are various low-price alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks. There is an English menu and convenient parking in the same building.
