With a
simple and elegant black design, Chia Lin Lou is unlike traditional
noisy Cantonese restaurants. The comfortable space does not take
the limelight away from the restaurant¡¦s delectable dishes. Shallot
Chicken Balls ($280) is a tender stir-fry of boneless chicken thighs
with plenty of ingredients. Prawn Balls in Eggplant Sauce (about
NT$300) uses eggplant sauce to bring out the delicate and sweet
taste of the high quality prawns for a refreshing, delicious and
visually satisfying experience. There are also many must-try snacks:
the new Frozen Coconut Egg Rolls, Shrimp Scallions Dumplings, Signature
Shrimp Tofu-skin Roll, and dumplings made from soup base of shrimps,
scallops, and shark fins ¡V snack prices range from NT$68 to NT$168.
Also available is the 12-dish Teacher Appreciation banquet special
for 10 people, starting at NT$3999. The Mother¡¦s Day banquet, originally
over NT$6000, starts at NT$5000.
