MUSHROOM GARDEN HOT POT RESTAURANT

17, WenShin Road, section 1
Closed 停業

Taichung's first branch of this islandwide chain of restaurants is connected to the Together outdoor recreation store, a few meters from the WenShin/NanTun roads intersection. As its name makes clear, this comfortable-looking, three-floor restaurant specializes in offering a huge variety of local and imported mushrooms for its hot pot meals. Naturally, there is a lot more than mushrooms to choose from, though. The menu has six separate meal categories, such as "healthy/natural", "vegetarian" and "VIP". Each of these lists prices and hot pot ingredients for two, three and four person groups, which range in respective prices from NT$450/430/390 to NT$810/710/630 per person. In addition to meat, vegetables and the other usual items, there are beef liver mushrooms, tea mushrooms, black tiger's foot mushrooms, abalone mushrooms, goose egg mushrooms, duck's foot mushrooms, clove mushrooms, high mountain mushrooms, and other combinations. Diners may also individually order their hot pot ingredients, with a minimum NT$390/person order. Low-priced drinks, from soda to beer, are ordered separately. In addition to pleasant ambiance, Mushroom Garden is completely smoking-free.
