T-Thai Buffet Restaurant

Thai cuisine exquisiteness is particular in the use of natural herbs to spread unique blends of refreshing aroma in different foods, a piling of taste sensations that is appetizing and mouth-watering, impressive after one try.

Located on the basement floor of Tiger City, the Thai themed restaurant offers, besides the main Thai dishes, Cantonese snacks, Taiwanese dishes and dozens of various cold platters, stir-fries, and desserts, of unrestricted portions. Weekdays, the per-person prices are lunch NT$500, afternoon tea NT$450, dinner NT$600, all at 21% off, and, 10% off on weekends. These prices are comparatively less expensive than a la carte prices of other restaurants.

The restaurant decor is ultra-modern, with dark walls and flooring. Simple, elegant cool coloring enhances the visual effect, creating a graceful, harmonious dining space with rows of gourmet sections. There are raw oyster, abalone, sashimi, sour and spicy raw shrimp in the cold foods section, with carefully labeled sampling instructions for sanitary precautions. The hot foods section has rarely seen spicy stir-fry venison, red and green curry meat sauce, and crayfish soup while the stir-fry section has stemmed live crab, oyster au gratin, shrimp sauce vegetable, and lemon stemmed fish. Waiters, occasionally, serve new, seasonal snacks from mobile carts.

Two Thai dishes are noted among the many. One is the King Qin shark's fin, made by simmering select aged hen, ham, bones, and spices for eight hours; its sauce brings out the freshness. The other dish is the Bangkok herbal grilled fish; fish stuffed with the familiar Southern ginger, lime leaf, lemon grass, then, is covered with a thick layer of salt to resemble golden French bread. The chief says this seals in the freshness and nutrients while herbal aroma seeps in.

Every dish is the perfectly designed performance by the chiefs; the variety of foods sets the palate roaming in the body, unforgettable to anyone who has tried it.
