VISITOR RATINGS & REVIEWS
This restaurant/store
is owned and operated by Mr. He and his wife Bahneet and is two
blocks up from Taichung's World Trade Center. The couple were the
former owners of the original Thai shop next to the trade center.
The best thing about this restaurant is the huge variety of food,
the prices and, of course, the authenticity. Menu samples include
Tom Yum Kung (shrimp soup) (small NT$100, medium NT$150, ridiculously
large NT$300); Panang Gai (red curry with coconut milk) (NT$100);
Phaad Thai (Thai-style fried noodles) (NT$50); and Papaya Salad
(NT$50). They also have a good selection of Thai goods which includes
ingredients for Thai food, shampoos and deodorants (a great find
here in Taiwan).
