VISITOR RATINGS & REVIEWS
Loyal customers and newcomers alike will be delighted with the addition
of this charming new Country Goose Kitchen branch. In contrast to
the very cozy original restaurant, this spacious, two-floor place
resembles a country villa, with a large outdoor courtyard shaded
by large trees, with hanging plants and a fountain. Inside, rough
wooden floors, large wooden ceiling beams, warm lighting, a fireplace
and rustic-looking heavy wood furniture comletes the image. The
menu includes most of the original favorites, plus some new additions.
Main entrees include US Fillet (NT$650), US Prime Ribeye (NT$550),
Lamb Chops (NT$550), Country Sauteed Chicken (NT$300), a Kids' Set
Meal (NT$350) and other selections. Other entrees, averaging around
NT$250, include Beef Lasagna, Clams Spaghetti with white wine sauce,
New Orleans Seafood Gumbo, and Baked Chicken Burritos. All main
courses come with soup and coffee/tea). There are also side dishes
like Seared Ahi Tuna, Sauteed Clams with garlic and tomato sauce,
baked or mashed potatoes, quesadillas and salads. Cocktails, beers
and other spirits average between NT$120 and NT$150. This place
is located just off of Meitsun Road, near the Art Museum, along
the Tswen Chung Street parkway that includes a large, convenient
parking lot. -- By Douglas Habecker (Tr. Sharon Yang)
