CACTI RESTAURANT
22-1, TsuenJung Street
 |
The
Spice Shop Indian restaurant's owner, Fred, has decided to try his
hand at something different and has added Cacti (formerly Borderland)
Restaurant to his ventures. Located next to Papa Mio Italian Restaurant,
this attractive, two-floor place has an American Southwestern feel
to it, with white stucco, adobe-like decor and plenty of cactus
plants (hence, the name). The Western menu, according to management,
is tailored to Chinese palates and provides plenty of options for
lunch or dinner. A variety of business lunch set meals (11:30 am-2
pm) start at NT$199, come with soup and coffee/tea, and are changed
once a week. Main course meals, available all day, include items
like Grilled American Rib Eye (NT$420), Tenderloin Fillet, Beef
Kebabs, and German Pork Knuckle with mustard dip (NT$360). There
are also soups, salads, pastas, appetizers and sandwiches, mostly
in the NT$200 range. There is also a very reasonable afternoon tea
time (2-5 pm), offering any drink with a choice of sandwich, waffle
or cake.
