VISITOR RATINGS & REVIEWS
During
the last cold spell, my friend and I were looking for a place to
warm up. Walking along Yi Shu Jie, otherwise known as Art Street,
there were a number of teahouses and coffee shops to choose from.
For some reason, we decided to head down Lane 38 and stopped in
front of Ju Tzu Lu. At first, we thought it was just a regular coffee
shop. But, that idea was soon to change. The first thing we noticed
were the many works of art, which seemed to naturally blend in with
the décor. The atmosphere was cozy and warm.
Menu items include
cappuccino (NT$140), Desert Oasis Milk Tea (NT$130) and Ju Tzu Lu
herbal tea (NT$140). I chose the Irish coffee (NT$140), a blend
of Irish whiskey, coffee and cream. My friend chose the fruit tea
(NT$130 to NT$140), a seemingly healthy choice, as the owner claims
that there is no caffeine, artificial coloring or preservatives.
As far as food items, the waffles are a good choice, as they are
twice as thick as in other coffee shops. In addition to the usual
flavors, there is passionfruit juice (NT$100), ice cream (NT$120)
and rose (NT$130). Also available are homemade mochi (NT$40) and
banana bread (NT$40). Set meal choices include roast chicken filet
(NT$220) and Portuguese-style chicken pasta in cream sauce (NT$200).
