One of what
appears to a growing number of Japanese-style grill restaurants,
this large nice-looking restaurant allows diners to roast a variety
of ingredients at their individual tables which each have a grill
burner station filled with lava rocks. There are several set-meal,
multiple-course specials, ranging from NT$890 to NT$1,890 for two
people, and from NT$4,320 to NT$8,520 for eight people. Ingredients
may also be ordered individually, such as the NT$120 chicken, NT$180
pork, NT$280 mutton and NT$1,200 Alaskan king crab. In addition,
there are hot pot specials, such as the NT$2,980 deal for three
to five people which includes the Alaskan crab, Japanese Kobe beef
and other high-quality ingredients. For something cheaper and simpler,
there are basic noodle and rice dishes ranging from about NT$200
to NT$240. Among many drink varieties, beers like Asahi and Kirin
cost NT$120 each. The restaurant's decor is very nice, with a modern
Japanese sort of look, plenty of space and high ceilings, from which
large disc-like bamboo lamps are suspended. Grilled Meat King is
located opposite the Taiwan Museum of Art, just before the intersection
of Meitsun and Wuchuan West roads. .
