The Landis is offering many different types of rice dumplings this
year. The chef recommends a Hong Kong-style Guangdong steamed
rice dumpling (NT$280), a scallop and rice dumpling (NT$160) and
a special Hangchow sweet rice dumpling (NT$90). Kwangfung
steam rice dumplings are made of top-grade chinhua ham, scallops,
chestnuts, mushroom and other ingredients. The dumplings are
packed and boiled in water, coming out tasting fresh and soft with
all sauces soaked into the rice. Scallop and rice dumplings
have scallops, mushrooms, shrimp, fish and other ingredients.
Hangchow sweet rice dumplings have three flavors--sweet osmanthus/orange,
purple/lily, and red mashed dates--perfect for summertime dining.
