Although it has only been open a short time and is hardly in a high-visibility location, this pleasant restaurant/cafe is already attracting a loyal following with its good food and quiet, friendly ambiance. Situated above the Chungteh Road Carrefour (via the left-side escalator), Antwerpen Grand Cafe is next to the new Jmatrix Gym (see below) and is ably managed by Belgian Nico Van Den Acker, who has provided a menu with a mixed selection of Belgian and Continental cuisine. There are weekly NT$180 lunch specials, NT$100/120 breakfast specials, sandwiches, appetizers, Belgian pancakes and waffles, soups, salads, coffees, teas and cocktails. It is also one of the only places in town to sample Belgium's excellent beers, like Duvel and Dulle Teve (NT$150/bottle).
