Anyone wanting to enjoy their food in a refined, almost-private
setting should check up the Evergreen Laurel Hotel's second-floor
teppanyaki, which is a separate room with 24 seats inside the steak
house. The separate lunch and dinner are identical except
for price, with dinner costing anywhere from NT$100 to NT$500 more.
Regular main items range from the chicken steak (NT$950/dinner)
to the 550-gram live lobster (NT$2,450). These all include
an appetizer, soup, prawn and scallop, garden salad, vegetables,
dessert and coffee/tea. Chef's recommendations include the
NT$1,850 (dinner) Surf & Turf (live 1/2 lobster and US prime
rib eye) and the NT$1,350 lamb and chicken. For the truly
private dining experience, there is a eight-person private room
as well.
